The Kancamagus Highway is most famous for appearing on magazine front covers as a pin up for New England fall foliage drives. It is also known as Kancamagus Scenic Byway or just The Kanc, and the name is correctly pronounced Kan-kah-mah-gus. The Kancamagus Highway is a staggeringly scenic drive through the photogenic White Mountains in central New Hampshire. It was pouring rain on the day we drove through New Hampshire, but the fall colors were so gorgeous that we just had to stop somewhere and take in the scenery.
